"I hate this!" A woman hissed, glaring out from up under a hood.
"What's wrong?" A man asked, turning his head towards the woman.
"Everything, that's what!" The woman seethed and trekked out of the darkness of the low overhanging trees.
"Sister! Please..." Another man called, walking from the darkness in full Templar garb.
The other man followed, a frown upon his face. This was incredibly hard. It wasn't easy for them... They had to keep running. The trio were running from Templars, except for his friend's brother. He had come along with them because he couldn't abandoned his only sister left. "Thalia!" The woman stopped, looking back at her brother.
"What Carver?" She demanded, her dazzling blue eyes bore holes into Carver before they shot over to him.
"Are you and Sebastian through with following me?" Thalia crossed her arms in her anger.
Sebastian frowned at the woman he so loved. Carver stared at his sister, a bit speechless. Thalia had changed greatly. They had been on the run for months... So much trouble had been brewing in the Free Marches.
"No, it's just we can't keep up with you always on the move." Sebastian replied to Hawke.
Lady Hawke sighed, her hostility dropped and she sagged her shoulders. "I'm sorry. I just can't help but feel betrayed." She murmured.
Craver walked over to her, hugging her tightly. Sebastian knew what she meant... Fenris had betrayed them in Kirkwall. Thalia had not been able to get over it yet. She had first loved the elf, adored him and the two were always so happy together, but when she sided with the Mages, Fenris had turned against her. His last words spoken to her, "I'm sorry, but I can't help a mage."
Sebastian stared at what was left of the Hawke family, Carver was a warrior, trained in the way of the Templars to control mages and subdue them. Thalia was the last Mage in her line... She had almost taken her life from the devastation of Fenris's betrayal and death. He had died by her hand. The Elf had made her heart shatter... Sebastian knew what it felt like. Though, the tides had turned. He had always secretly liked the Lady Hawke. Thalia had turned to him for support.
Most of their friends had died or were missing. Merril had disappeared after the fight, possibly gone forever because of how she disappeared. A dying templar had shot an arrow at her at the last second when she disappeared. Isabella had gained a Ship and was most likely sailing across the world. Varric had ran off into the woods after they had left Kirkwall. Aveline had been captured by the Templars after a fight... They had been fighting beside Aveline and Donnic. The couple had told them to run and they had. Sebastian prayed for them every night, hoping that they had somehow managed to escape or survive the attacking Templars and gone underground. Anders... He had died in Kirkwall.
The Prince had forgiven him of his crimes after some persuasion from Hawke. Anders had been shot through the head then cut down by a Templar Hunter. It had been a gruesome sight... They were really the only ones left out of the 11 that had left Kirkwall, including himself. Hawke's uncle, Gamlen, had come along but found a safe-house to stay at. They had agreed for him to stay there, the person taking care of him was one of Hawke's cousins. Gamlen had asked them to stay safe and come back once they were free from Templar grasp. Thalia had said, "I can't promise anything Uncle."
Sebastian returned to the world when someone snapped their fingers in front of his face, "-uh? What?"
Thalia glared at him, her beautiful blue eyes stared back into his. "Are you coming or not...?" She asked.
Carver was watching him with a small smirk. He had obviously noticed how much Sebastian liked his sister. The two had grown close after they had left Kirkwall. Carver had come to understand the Prince and they had become like brothers, as if they had known each other forever. The Templar apprentice turned, "We better get moving again. You don't know who could be watching..."
Thalia turned her head, looking back at Carver with a stern nod. "Right, let's go."
Sebastian nodded. They had to keep moving. There were many on the hunt for them nowadays, even hired bandits tried to bring them to Blood mages or Templars. It was tough to live like this, but he could endure this, as long as she was at his side.
"Earth to Prince!" Thalia said, waving a hand in front of Sebastian's face.
He gave a nervous smile and was dragged along, Hawke's hand locked in his.
Carver began to laugh. Sebastian glared at him. The look he hoped would get the point across that the prince did not want him to tell his sister... He would rather her figure it out on her own. Thalia let go of his hand, slowing her pace as they walked in the shadows. Sebastian took a moment to take in the woman's elegance... Short black hair, very light tan skin, sparkling blue eyes, a hip that swayed with rhythm and a stride of softness. Thalia Hawke was a beautiful woman. Her voice was like warm honey... Hawke's voice held command but also a hint of sultry to her voice. It was often provocative. Sebastian shivered slightly.
Oh Maker, he was sinning. Sebastian couldn't help it. He was often tempted now since the Chantry was no longer breathing down his neck... Elthina, she would have slapped him and told him to repent. The Grand Cleric had died in the Mage-Templar war in Kirkwall. It probably had been his fault... He should have persuaded her to leave with the divine. Then again, maybe the Maker had put this path before him for a reason. Maybe he hadn't been in the Chantry for a reason. The Maker must have a sense a humor...
The Prince strode after the Hawke siblings, keeping an eye out for anybody that would possibly try to hurt them. maybe the Maker and Andraste herself had wanted him to be there for Hawke, not dead in the Chantry explosion.
They traveled for a few more miles. They had finally reached their planned destination... The ruins of Chateau Haine. They stopped and looked at each other. "I'll collect the firewood." Carver immediately said. Hawke and Sebastian watched him go, the two speaking at the same time, "I'll set up the-"
Sebastian shook his head, "I'll take care of it today Hawke. You can go relax or something." He muttered.
Lady Hawke nodded slowly, "I'll go find a suitable place to bathe." She replied, walking off.
The Prince got to work quickly. Carver had returned soon after his sister was gone, making the fire. "So..."
Sebastian lifted his head, "What is it Carver?"
The Templar looked at Sebastian, helping him set up the last tent. "Why don't you tell her already?"
Sebastian didn't reply, making the tent perfect before looking at Carver. "Because I want her to figure it out..."
Carver stood straight, raising a brow at the Prince. "She likes you. You know that right Sebastian...?"
The Prince blinked. She liked him? Craver sighed, tending to the fire. "She just hasn't seen you open up to her."
It didn't help much. The statement just really made him nervous... Hawke returned soon, her hair damp and her skin glistened from what water still clung to her skin. "Found it." She mused lightly, smiling at her Brother and Sebastian before pulling out a bottle of wine. "Who wants some?" She said cheerfully.
Carver snatched the bottle from Lady Hawke's hands, drinking from it quickly. "Carver!" She cried and tackled her brother, they rolled around on the ground before Sebastian grabbed the bottle, staring at them. Carver mut have been drinking earlier, because he had that sly drunk grin on his face. Thalia had him pinned to the ground. "Peaches...?" The Templar mumbled.
Lady Hawke freaked out, her usual sarcastic and light mood changed to disgust, "Ew! Ewewewewewew!" She cried and scrambled off and away from her brother. He understood why she was freaking out... Apparently, 'Peaches' was one of Carver's lovers. Sebastian and Thalia stared down at Carver, her brother's member slightly erect.
Lady Hawke stared down at her brother, "Carver! How much have you had to drink?" She cried.
The young man smirked, "Four bottles."
"Oh, I knew something was wrong when the wine started to disappear." She grumbled, shaking her head.
Lady Hawke walked to her tent and ducked in, disappearing into the darkness of the Tent. Sebastian frowned. Carver sobered up... "Go get her." He muttered, standing. The prince looked down at Carver. "You aren't drunk are you?"
"Nope. Just a rouse." The Brother replied and stood, brushing himself. "Seriously... Go after her, she wants you." The Templar then excused himself to his tent.
Sebastian stared at Hawke's tent. "I wish..." He whispered, biting his lower lip. He wished... Sebastian really wished she notice. The prince wished it so that soon, she would realize his feelings for her. He ducked into his tent, taking a large sip of the wine in his hands before he got himself ready for bed and was asleep.
